this list was written and illustrated by Michelangelo on the back of a letter.
According to Michelangelo's Shopping List - the genius thrives on a diet of fish, bread, and lots of wine.
Michelangelo also took time to provide little illustrations of items, this list was for his servant who was surely illiterate and artist helps him by illustrating list with hurried (all more exquisite) pen caricature: he draws a herring, tortelli, anchovies, bread, two fennel soups, four anchovies and a small quarter of house wine.
