Michelangelo's drawings
In 1528, Michelangelo Buonarotti was asked by the Florence republic to take lead in the defense of the Fortifications of the city against the Papal armies. They managed to repeal them for 11 months until the act of political treachery. These are some drawings he made of machines and mecanisms.
